The role involves supporting a busy Labor and Delivery Department with a focus on high-volume, high-risk obstetric care. The position requires a dedicated professional prepared to work night shifts and contribute to a dynamic team providing exceptional maternal healthcare.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of travel experience in high-risk obstetrics, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. No RTO or special scheduling restrictions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), high-risk obstetric care, high-volume labor and delivery experience, and familiarity with magnesium and insulin drips.
  • General unit information:
    • Location: Womens Hospital, Arlington, TX
    • Bed count: 23 beds
    • Staff composition: Day shift includes 1 CNA, 6 RNs, 2 CSTs; Night shift includes 1 CNA, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Secretary
    • Patient ratios: 2:1
    • Equipment: EMR CPN/Meditech
    • On-call requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
    • Floating requirement: within womens service line, including postpartum and antepartum units
    • Typical procedures: all high-risk obstetric care, magnesium and insulin drips, circulation, scrub duties
