Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in West Bloomfield, Michigan. This role involves providing leadership and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care within the Labor and Delivery department. The nurse will utilize the nursing processassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationto ensure optimal patient outcomes, coordinate care effectively, and communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team. The position requires active participation in finding solutions for patient care variances and ensuring the implementation of necessary actions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must have BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications. Candidates without these certifications will be rejected.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Certification & Licensure: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • Additional Skills & Information:
    • Must have at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
    • Post-Partum experience is required.
    • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans within the department.
    • Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
