Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Brighton, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in a labor and delivery department within a hospital setting. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, provide health education and counseling, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support maternal and neonatal well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school, at least 3 years of clinical experience, current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit or service
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), additional certifications specific to labor and delivery are preferred
- Additional Information: The RN will perform health assessments, provide patient education, assist with therapy and treatment planning, and ensure documentation complies with hospital and regulatory standards. Flexibility to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications may be required. On-call duties may also be necessary during scheduled shifts.
