Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OR position requiring current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification and prior L&D experience.

Details

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting, including a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays
• Care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, as well as high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients
• Function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU areas but will not circulate OR cases
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Works 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours) or 3 days per week (36 hours)
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP
• Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE required
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Able to circulate for C-sections and triage for OB patients

• Provide direct nursing care including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for L&D and high-risk OB patients
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as part of patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support discharge planning
