HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Facility: Meritus Medical Center
Location: Hagerstown, MD
Start Date: 08/24/2026
Duration: 20 Weeks
Shift: Nights (4x12-Hour)
Schedule: 18:30 – 07:00
Patient Ratio: Labor: 1:2 | Postpartum: 3–4 Couplets
Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
Float Required: Yes – Must rotate between Labor, Triage, and Mother/Baby (LDRP) care
Call Requirement: Yes – Approximately 16–20 hours every 6 weeks (or option to pick up one extra weekend and one extra weekday shift instead of call)
Note: Must be comfortable working all LDRP roles including Labor, Triage, and Postpartum. OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience is highly preferred. COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions).
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, caring for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
License: Active RN License
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience highly preferred
Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), AWHONN Beginner Required (AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate preferred)
Other requirement: Epic experience preferred; Must be comfortable rotating between Labor, Triage, and Mother/Baby care; Call participation required.
Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP)
Patient Ratios: Labor: 1:2 | Postpartum: 3–4 Couplets
Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults (Obstetric and Postpartum Patients)
Patient Diagnoses: Labor and delivery patients, high-risk pregnancies, postpartum recovery, cesarean section recovery, pregnancy-induced hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage, multiple births, newborn care, neonatal hypoglycemia, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and other maternal and neonatal conditions.
