Description
LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.
Job Description & Requirements

Key Requirements
- Alaska (AK) RN License required in hand for Auto Offer
- Pending AK RN License accepted for screening
- Candidates must be able to complete the Alaska RN license application within 48 hours of signing, including:
- Fingerprint submission
- License application fee
- License application submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- NRP
- Charge Nurse experience preferred, or willingness to train as Charge Nurse
Assignment Details
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 3x12 Nights
- Most likely a straight night shift assignment.
- If staffing requires, the schedule may rotate between nights and days every 4 weeks.
Schedule & Call
- On-Call: Not required
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float to like units within scope of practice, if needed
- Block Scheduling: Not available
Candidate Guidelines
- Local candidates not accepted (Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
- Pending AK RN License accepted, but license must be in hand for Auto Offer
- RTO: Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer. All RTO requests must be included at the time of submission.
Guaranteed Hours
- 60 hours every 2 weeks
- Travelers may be called off for one 12-hour shift every 2 weeks

- High-Risk Labor & Delivery Unit
- OB Triage/Testing: 5–10 patients
- Labor & Delivery/Antepartum: 7–14 patients
- Unit Features:
- 10 OB Triage Rooms
- 10 Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) Rooms
- 3 Operating Rooms
- 4 PACU Rooms
- Average Daily Deliveries: Approximately 7, with volumes often reaching 14 patients due to inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
- OB Triage averages 4–5 third-trimester testing patients, in addition to daily triage patient volume
