Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery and/or Postpartum on night shift, requiring an active MA RN license and Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.

Details

  • Work in the OB/GYN unit of a hospital setting
  • Provides family-centered care for antepartum, labor, delivery (vaginal and C-section), postpartum, and gynecological patients
  • Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • May consider 48 hours per week
  • Postpartum nurses will also be considered in place of L&D
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • ACLS certification required (AHA only)
  • NRP certification required
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required (AWHONN or NCC accepted, 2-year renewal)
  • Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start via NURSYS and BON
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Interacts with adult patients and their newborns, adapting communication to individual intellectual and physical needs
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston to qualify for local candidate status
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
