Job Description

Join our dynamic and fast-paced Obstetrics unit, where we cater to high-volume birthing services with over 300 births per month. This challenging environment demands skilled practitioners adept at handling high-stakes situations, including double labor assignments, while providing excellent patient care and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to obstetrical patients, including high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and manage immediate newborn care.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and care coordination.
• Administer medication and perform routine outpatient procedures in the triage unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a high-volume obstetrics unit; 3 years preferred.
• Experience in a unit with >300 births per month is required.
• Must possess active BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications.
• First-time travelers accepted, provided they have relevant experience in similar high-pressure environments.
• Current NC or Compact RN licensure is mandatory.
