Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring C-EFM (NCC) certification, with night shift scheduling and local candidates only (within 60 miles of the facility).

Details

• Hospital Labor & Delivery unit setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:50–07:20)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Floating required to Mother/Baby; scrub float preferred
• On-call required: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Cerner charting system (preferred)
• Work settings include Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, High Risk Antepartum, and LDRP

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, C-EFM (NCC), NRP, and STABLE; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required; 3 years preferred
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, C-section scrub/circulate/recovery, hemorrhage management, vaginal delivery assistance, and antepartum/postpartum care
• Driver's license required for consideration; candidate's address must match their driver's license

Additional Information

• Only candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible for this position
• Nurses with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be submitted upfront
• Compliance modules must be completed within one week of signing the contract
• Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Interviews with the manager are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
