Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the LDRP unit of an acute care hospital
• Provides couplet care and cares for high-risk OB patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:45pm to 7:15am
• Required to work every third weekend
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
• No floating required between units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic for charting and Omnicell for medication management

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and STABLE
• Epic charting system experience required
• Couplet care and high-risk OB experience required
• Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides postpartum couplet care and manages high-risk OB patients
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
