Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Post Partum Floor located in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing direct nursing care to postpartum patients, adhering to established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. The position offers an opportunity to apply professional nursing skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend and holidays as needed. Floating to other facilities may be required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of South Carolina. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. NRP certification must be attained within 6 months of hire and kept current. Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree highly desired; must be obtained within five (5) years of hire if not already held.
- Work Environment: Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping. Frequent lifting and moving of patients, including up to 50 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and communicable diseases. Moderate noise level with potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. May be required to take call and work weekends/holidays.
- Responsibilities: Delivering patient care following established protocols, applying critical thinking skills, maintaining accurate records, and establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
