Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of clinical interventional imaging experience for a Level II Trauma facility.

Details

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule of 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • 4x10-hour shifts assigned during weeks with holidays
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required
  • Possible standby duty as needed
  • Required to float as needed
  • Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical interventional imaging experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
  • State of Wisconsin Radiographer License required
  • ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
  • BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Skills in venous access, port accessing/management, central venous line care, and PICC line care preferred
  • Experience with chest tube placement, embolization, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter removal, and TIPS procedures preferred
  • Proficiency with CT, fluoroscopy, Siemens equipment, and ultrasound preferred
  • Knowledge of PACS, sterile technique, and infection control practices required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, and stocking supplies
  • Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
  • Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a cardiac interpretation review course certificate is required before a third attempt
  • Assignment will be cancelled if telemetry exam is not passed after three attempts
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • First-time travelers not accepted for this assignment
  • Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center
