Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1+ years of IR, Hybrid OR, and Scrub/Special Procedures experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

  • >Interventional Radiology department within an acute care hospital setting
  • Daily caseload of 7-15 cases
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:30 AM-5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • No weekend shift requirement
  • On-call requirement of 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks
  • May float as needed between two campus locations approximately 12 miles apart
  • Uses PACS system for imaging

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in IR, Hybrid OR, Scrub, and Special Procedures required
  • NJDEP Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License required (license required if applicable; can be obtained prior to start)
  • ARRT(R), ACLS, and BLS certifications required
  • ARRT (VI) certification preferred
  • Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Proficiency in venous access including port access/management and central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
  • Experience with abdominal, visceral, genitourinary, and vascular angiography procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and endovascular interventions
  • Experience with dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and TIPS procedures
  • Skilled in room circulator duties, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile technique
  • Experience with equipment set up, inventory management, and supply stocking

  • Perform a wide range of image-guided vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures supporting inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Responsibilities include prepping access sites, equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
  • Perform advanced procedures such as chemoembolization, TIPS, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and IVC filter placement/removal
  • Hospital-provided scrubs
  • 2-day orientation provided
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Accepts local candidates residing within 50 miles at a local rate
  • May be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment
  • Parking provided at each facility
  • Works within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
