Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical Technician position in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting interventional radiology procedures within a busy hospital setting. Candidates will primarily provide scrub and circulate support for neurointerventional and vascular procedures, with an emphasis on team collaboration and clinical excellence.
Job Details:
- Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
- Day Shift: Shift time is 10 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Experience: 2 years of previous interventional radiology experience, including neurointerventional radiology; 0 years minimum experience accepted
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology CL (Interventional Radiology - Clinical Support)
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with every 7th weekend scheduled and one night secondary call during the week
- Unit Information:
- Interventional Radiology department with 2 single-plane (GE) and 2 biplane (Philips) rooms
- 15 staff members including technologists, nurses, and management
- Equipment includes single-plane and biplane imaging systems, as well as an invasive CT scanner
- EMR system: Cerner (Radnet)
- Responsibilities:
- Support for procedures such as dialysis work, nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90 therapy, G tubes, TIPS, Inari cases
- Perform cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, and vertebroplasties
- Personality Fit: Flexible team player with collaborative skills
- Additional Notes:
- Prior neurointerventional and vascular operating room experience preferred
- Candidates should be adaptable to the unit policies and dress code provided by the facility
