Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: IR Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: North Dakota Medical Imaging Board registration Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R), NDMIRT Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in Interventional Radiology. Candidates must be comfortable with call requirements. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is preferred. Description: The role involves assisting radiologists during procedures while scrubbing beside them. Coordination of the room during procedures is also required. Scheduling and coding of procedures is part of the job responsibilities. Post-procedure film processing, charting, and billing for cases and supplies are expected. The environment includes the use of electronic EMR, Sectra Pacs, and ultrasound units. Candidates will work independently for smaller interventional cases. For larger angiography work, a team approach is utilized. Floating to other departments, such as Cat Scan, may be necessary to assist with procedures. The unit consists of two fluoroscopy rooms, CT utilization, and rooms for ultrasound procedures. General equipment and protocol review will be part of the training. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed for call rotation. Regular physical presence is necessary to maintain compliance with facility policies. Scrubs are provided as part of the uniform requirements.
