Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:30 - 18:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred) License: Pending State License accepted Certifications: ARRT R and BLS required, ARRT VI preferred Must-Have: C-Arm and Contrast experience required Description: The technologist will work 4x10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, from 07:30 to 18:00, with one Saturday shift from 08:00 to 16:00 in a 13-week period. Weekend call will be from Friday 16:00 to Monday 07:30, and the technologist will be assigned weekend call 1-2 times during the assignment. In addition to call, the technologist may be scheduled as "backup". Due to the nature of the procedural area, the work may not always be completed at the end of the scheduled shift. The expectation is that the agency technologist may be assigned backup once a week. Interventional Radiology performs a variety of procedures, including central venous catheter placements/replacements, diagnostic angiograms, Y-90 mappings/treatments, gastrostomy tube placements, percutaneous nephrostomy tubes, peripheral artery disease leg cases, and other vascular procedures. Daily caseload per technologist is 6-8 procedures. There are 9 rooms available for procedures. First-time applicants with 2 years of experience are welcome. Travelers will float within their scope of care as needed. Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Special requirements include experience with C-Arm and contrast. Preferred equipment includes Siemens or GE ultrasound. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 1259 staffed beds. Interdisciplinary support is provided. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census and number of visits per day can fluctuate. The unit focuses on various interventional radiology procedures.
