Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Infusion for a travel nursing job in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
Day shift 5-8's
H Days M-F 4 8 hour shifts, days, variable start time.
Department: Infusion RN*Certifications Required: BLS & ONS***
# of beds: 9 chairs, located in the hospital building
- Ratios: Chemo 1:1 during initiation, can infuse up to 3 non chemo's with staggered starts
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Blood, cancer patients, out patient antibiotics, injections, biologics for rheumatoid patients.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Peripheral IV, port access, blood draws,
- Are RNs required to titrate drips: We use smart pumps that do the majority of the thinking for dose delivery. Tight partnership with pharmacy
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: 20% chemo, 20% blood products and the rest is various infusions Chemotherapy, blood products, iron, hydration, biologics
