Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency / ICU Overflow

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in an emergency department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
  • Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for high-acuity emergency and ICU patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established protocols
  • Perform neurological assessments utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency or ICU setting
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Dual experience in both Emergency and ICU nursing environments
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care setting
