Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license and one year of nursing experience.

Details

  • 16-bed adult ICU setting managing critical illness, ventilator management, and post-op patients
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 with average length of stay of 3-7 days
  • Rotating day and night shift schedule
  • 36 hours per week at 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
  • May be scheduled for holidays based on facility need
  • Can be placed on standby call once per pay period

Requirements

  • Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact) required
  • BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
  • ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI-B certifications required
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required
  • BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

  • Deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
  • Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care planning and evaluation
  • Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
  • Contribute to unit performance improvement activities and professional growth opportunities
  • Clinical ladder and professional development growth opportunities available
