Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
  • 12-hour shifts in an ICU/Acute Care Unit setting
  • Weekend shifts on a rotation basis
  • Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
  • May float to other Carle Health network facilities, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
  • Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant ICU nursing experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for assessing patients upon admission, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and adjusting care plans based on ongoing evaluation
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
  • Participates in safety reporting, peer feedback, and ongoing professional development
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment with Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location after reaching that threshold
