Job Summary:
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position available in a specialized adult surgical ICU located in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing advanced nursing care for ICU patients, including those recovering from trauma, GI surgery, orthopedic and neuro spine procedures, transplant, vascular, ENT, and general surgeries. This position requires a dedicated and experienced nurse with a strong background in surgical intensive care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; a minimum of 2 years of recent, strong Surgical ICU experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification; trauma course; electronic health record system experience (EPIC); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); completion of two previous travel assignments; float as needed to areas of similar skill set.
  • Additional Information: Orientation sessions are conducted on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Candidates with prior employment in any capacity for any Johns Hopkins health system facilities must disclose this during application to verify rehire eligibility.
