Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Work in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting
  • Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00) using block scheduling
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Prior charge nurse experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Care for critically ill patients requiring multisystem monitoring and management in an ICU setting
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
  • Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be contracted
  • Former staff members must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be submitted for consideration and no more than 3 days of RTO will be automatically approved
  • No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
  • First-time travelers are not being considered for this role due to travel experience requirement
