Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring a CA RN license and 2 years of home health experience.

Details

Home Health setting providing in-home nursing care to adult patients
Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Requires working every other weekend
On-call responsibilities required one day per month
May float to Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties
Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience required
Epic charting experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Skilled in phlebotomy, IV management, and administration of blood/blood products
Experience with peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports
Proficient in wound care, ostomy care, and catheter management
Experience with medication administration across multiple routes
Skilled in OASIS documentation and clinical assessment

Additional Information

Perform comprehensive in-home nursing assessments, care coordination, and patient/family education
Develop and manage individualized interdisciplinary care plans addressing psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors
Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers
Adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality patient care
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
Only one holiday will be approved for RTO during the assignment
Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
