Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy (PACU) position requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience and PACU background, with Monday–Friday day shifts and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital-based endoscopy prep and PACU unit serving adult patients
  • Pre- and post-procedural care for adult endoscopy patients
  • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday only
  • No night shifts, no weekend shifts, no holiday coverage, and no on-call requirements
  • No set weekly schedule; shifts are not fixed day-to-day
  • Epic (Optime role) is the EMR used; experience preferred
  • Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month

Requirements

  • Active MD or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of current nursing experience required
  • PACU experience required
  • Dysrhythmia management skills required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
  • ICU experience is preferred (facility will train current ICU RNs to PACU)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Critical Care Certification preferred
  • Completion of a trauma course preferred
  • IV access/certification preferred (particularly for prep area)
  • Prior travel assignment experience (1–2 assignments) preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Active licensure and one professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides pre- and post-procedural nursing care to adult patients undergoing endoscopy procedures
  • Facility will train qualified ICU RNs transitioning into PACU
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
