Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night-shift position at a trauma center, requiring active WI RN licensure and TNCC/TNS certification.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Room of a hospital and trauma center
  • Night-shift schedule
  • 13-week assignment
  • May be required to work at other Emergency Department locations within Janesville and Beloit

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
  • Prior emergency room nursing experience required
  • Education verification required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
  • Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
  • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care in coordination with physicians, including patient and family instruction
  • Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across departments
  • Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
  • Participate in professional nursing continuum processes, unit practice activities, and peer review
