Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, with flexibility to float between campuses.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Department (Adult/Pedi ER) with 40 total beds, including 29 standard beds and 11 hallway beds
- Patient care areas include Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, and Lobby Triage
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Shift start times vary: 0700, 0900, 1200, 1500, and 1900
- Schedule is posted every 6 weeks
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and required
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Procedures and equipment include: Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPAP, Procedural Sedation, RSI, Trach Care/Vents, Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket, CRRT/Dialysis, 12-Lead EKG, and Rapid Infuser
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or active Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be able to float to different campuses within the state
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Any prior work history at a Providence-affiliated facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Minimal RTO is expected; a small number of days may be approved but excessive RTO requests may impact eligibility
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment
