Schedule
4x12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of every other weekend and holidays required. Option to flex to 4x12 if needed/available.
Job Description
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) will provide quality care to patients in the emergency department. This role requires the ability to assess, triage, and manage a varied patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
- Conduct triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity.
- Monitor and manage patients experiencing critical incidents, including cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs).
- Utilize isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice, or must be pending with ETA clearly stated.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all must be via AHA).
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CIC (Crisis Intervention Certification) preferred; travelers can obtain CPI if they stay longer than 3 months.
