This travel assignment focuses on providing exceptional care within a Cath Lab environment, with an emphasis on EP Tech expertise. Key Responsibilities of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist
  • Assist Physicians in all aspects of invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters.
  • Operate interventional and other equipment/devices during diagnostic interventional procedures.
  • Provide for the physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures.
  • Transfer patients onto medical equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
  • Prepare and manage sterile trays, including cleaning and disposal post-procedure.
  • Maintain department inventory and ensure preventative equipment maintenance.
  • Support the Electrophysiology (EP) program and stay updated on new developments.

Requirements of the Electrophysiology Tech - Cath Lab Technologist
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification (RCIS)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Course completion
  • Five years of recent experience in Cardiovascular EP or applicable certifications
