Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year; first timers accepted License: State or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT R or CCI RCIS or CCI RCES Must-Have: - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Cardiac Ablation - Cardiac Mapping - Cardioversion - Insertion/Programming of AICDs - Pacemaker Insertion - Tilt Table Study - Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Room circulator skills - Ability to maintain sterile field - Understanding of isolation precautions and PPE - Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations Description: Electrophysiology Technician needed for the Electrophysiology Lab. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment. The technician will handle a patient ratio of 1:5 with 8-12 patients per day. The unit utilizes Epic and Pyxis systems. Scrub color will be provided by the facility. The technician will be required to stay past shift hours if on call. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. Compliance with all essential requirements is necessary to start on time. Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit before final decision. Full compliance is required before the start of employment. Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same bill rate. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. Weekend call is not required, but flexibility may be needed.
