Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to join its highly respected GI Lab team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a leading 515-bed Magnet-designated healthcare organization known for clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong GI procedural experience with a must-have skill set in ERCP procedures and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in patient safety, scope processing, and endoscopy support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist gastroenterologists and nursing staff during GI procedures

  • Prepare and clean endoscopy procedure rooms

  • Perform endoscope cleaning, disinfection, testing, and storage according to policy

  • Support ERCP and advanced GI procedures

  • Handle specimen collection and sterilization monitoring

  • Maintain quality assurance and biological monitoring processes

  • Ensure compliance with universal precautions and hazardous materials protocols

  • Transport patients safely between departments

  • Assist with inventory management and supply tracking

  • Contribute to departmental performance improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associate’s/Technical Degree preferred

Experience

  • GI Lab and/or Operating Room experience preferred

  • ERCP experience REQUIRED

Certifications

  • Current BLS/CPR Certification required
