Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring 2 years of RN experience with procedure and 1:1 patient ratio experience.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift schedule with 10-hour (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or 12-hour (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM) shift options
• Performs procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
• Circulates for endoscopy procedures
• Requires 1:1 patient ratio experience

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Endoscopy procedure experience required
• PACU experience preferred
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience monitoring conscious sedation
• Pre-procedure care experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for endoscopy procedures including circulating, pre-procedure preparation, and conscious sedation monitoring
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet that must be completed urgently upon receipt
• RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this facility
