Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves providing advanced emergency nursing care in a fast-paced trauma environment. The position requires a minimum of three years of ER experience, a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state, and completion of an accredited RN program. The RN must be willing to work night shifts, manage critical care skills, and be prepared to work in the trauma room as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in District of Columbia; ER experience 3 years; Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired; Cerner experience required

  • Additional Information: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Travel nurses must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN and handle 1:5 patient ratios. The emergency department treats a wide variety of patients, including critical, pediatric, psych, and urgent care cases. Nurses manage critical skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, blood transfusions, and chest tubes.
