Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Augusta, Georgia. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting. The ideal candidate will have experience managing trauma patients and common emergency department complaints, demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and a patient-centered approach.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse, current TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, and valid certification to practice as an RN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma patients and familiarity with ED procedures such as IV insertions, Foley catheter insertions, NG tube placements, and assisting with ED-specific procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to main Emergency Department.
- Additional Information: This role involves frequent admissions to the main hospital from the Emergency Department. The facility is a Level II trauma center with specialized care capabilities, including Cardiac Care and Primary Stroke Center certifications. The unit is newly built, equipped with the latest technology, offering opportunities to operate bipap and ventilator equipment, as well as point-of-care labs. The team is in the process of being fully staffed, providing a dynamic and supportive environment. This assignment offers an opportunity to stretch and develop new skills.
