Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Seattle, WA. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy, 40-bed emergency department with a daily census of approximately 115 patients. The role requires flexibility in patient care across adult and pediatric populations, including triage, ED holding, and ambulance triage duties, with a focus on trauma, airway management, and critical interventions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The start date is 08/10/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, minimum of 1 year of emergency room experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications. Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, procedural sedation, trauma, triage, and interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
- Additional Information: Must be open to floating across different emergency department campuses, including Swedish facilities and sister sites. First-time travelers are accepted; prior permanent employees of any affiliated facility must be separated for a minimum of three months to qualify. The candidate should be adaptable to a high-acuity environment with diverse patient diagnoses, including trauma, neuro, ortho trauma, and cardiac emergencies. Additionally, two references covering the past year are required for compliance.
