Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing urgent care services within a busy emergency department environment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and adapt to a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Texas Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or compact license eligibility; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Candidates without these certifications will not be considered; if lacking, the organization will assist in obtaining them with a 30-day grace period.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: This position is based at a Level 1 trauma emergency department with 38 beds, including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area. The unit employs standard emergency/trauma equipment and Meditech electronic medical records. The role requires flexible, easy-going candidates with a patient-first attitude who are capable of maintaining composure in a high-acuity environment. Candidates will be expected to follow the units dress code of royal blue scrubs.
  • Candidates are expected to participate in self-scheduling and may be required to work weekends and on-call shifts, totaling four weekend shifts per month.
