Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ED position in Denver, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department within a large acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:4 standard, 1:6 for Vertical Care space
- Equipment used includes Zoll Lifepaks, GE monitors, Stryker stretchers, and Mobilab
- EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
- Staffing structure includes charge RNs, staff RNs, and EMT/Medics across all shifts
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC — AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
- CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience in the Emergency Department
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ED RN experience in the specific specialty
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions
- One professional reference required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Common procedures include triage, patient assessment, conscious sedation, and splinting
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
