Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ED position in Denver, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department within a large acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:4 standard, 1:6 for Vertical Care space
  • Equipment used includes Zoll Lifepaks, GE monitors, Stryker stretchers, and Mobilab
  • EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
  • Staffing structure includes charge RNs, staff RNs, and EMT/Medics across all shifts

Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC — AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
  • CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience in the Emergency Department
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ED RN experience in the specific specialty
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions
  • One professional reference required
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Common procedures include triage, patient assessment, conscious sedation, and splinting
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • The ideal candidate is flexible, professional, and a strong team player
