Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel position at a freestanding emergency department in Louisburg, NC, requiring at least 1 year of ER or critical care experience.

Details

  • 11-bed freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting
  • Emergency Room department serving a broad patient population
  • Patient ratio of 4:1
  • EHR: Paragon (experience beneficial)
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend requirement (every other weekend)
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to Henderson ED is possible but rare
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NC or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • ER or critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with IV administration, critical care nursing, and drip management required
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

  • Joint Commission accredited facility
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
