Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.

Details

  • Hospital Emergency Department setting
  • Day shift hours: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; each call shift is 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour
  • A mandatory 2-week nights rotation is required for all travelers
  • No block scheduling
  • Every other weekend shift required
  • Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • No floating required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
  • Executes and continuously modifies care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the healthcare team
  • Upholds patient and staff safety standards by adhering to safety protocols and reporting or correcting hazards
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
