Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring charge experience and AHA-certified ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department with 15 exam rooms plus additional RME space
  • Department sees approximately 100 patients per day
  • Hospital includes a 13-bed ICU, Med/Surg, PCU, Acute Rehab, and Level 2 OB units
  • 24/7 Respiratory Therapy, ER providers, and hospitalist team on staff
  • Night shift: 19:00–07:30
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active IN or Compact RN license required
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
  • CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
  • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
  • Charge nurse experience required with comfort in the charge role
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • SSN, DOB, driver's license copy, 2 professional references, skills checklist, and copies of all certifications and license verifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to a broad emergency patient population in a high-volume ED environment
  • Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's state-specific radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Nursys verification and primary source license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Any disciplinary actions on license may require completion of a FACIS Questionnaire
