Job Summary:
An EEG Technician (Electroencephalogram Technologist) position is available in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This role involves working in an intensive care unit setting with neonatal and adult patients, performing electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, and wrapping heads for continuous EEGs. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: Oak Lawn, IL
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, with weekend rotation required every weekend and no on-call responsibilities
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, EEG certification (unless grandfathered in from experience), two years of relevant experience, proficiency in electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, wrapping head for continuous EEG, Nihon Kohden software experience (required), Epic electronic medical record (preferred), ability to float to ICU, Neonatal experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required, primarily to the ICU.
- Additional Information: Scrub color is Caribbean Blue, and free parking is available.
- Notes: Will work in a hospital environment, including outpatient and inpatient units, with potential exposure to diverse patient populations, including neonate to geriatric patients.
