Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MT or compact RN license and 1 year of ED experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Variable 12-hour shifts, mostly evenings and nights
  • 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MT or compact) required, no pending license allowed
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, not expiring before start
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required as appropriate for unit or service
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while performing health teaching and counseling
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients as needed for further evaluation
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the health system
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
