Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week over 3 days per day
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO or compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC through the American Heart Association
  • Certifications must not expire prior to start date
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
  • Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
  • Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
  • Deliver therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
  • Previous permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
