Job Title: Registered Echo Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Echo Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: One to two years as an echocardiography technician preferred License: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution or on-the-job training with an Associate's degree in Allied Health Certifications: CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible; CPR required Must-Have: Knowledge of clinical interventions and equipment necessary for patient care Description: Performs and assists with cardiovascular procedures ordered by physicians to assist in the diagnosis of patients. Performs a wide variety of related duties as assigned, including assisting the physician and staff with non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures. Carries out the policies and procedures of the department to ensure a high standard of quality of care. Enhances positive relations with all customers including patients, families, and medical staff. Shares knowledge with others, promoting and supporting new roles and staffing needs. Maintains a safe environment to facilitate meeting organizational goals. Participates in quality improvement activities and evaluations. Ensures patient rights are respected and protects patient privacy by adhering to guidelines in managing patient information. Maintains a neat and safe work area. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for enhancing positive interactions and diffusing negative situations. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Performs CPR as needed. Ensures compliance with departmental standards and guidelines.
