About the Position
Position/Specialty: Pediatric Echo Tech
Daily Caseload per tech: 4-10
Shift: Will work M-F (8 hours shifts) on staggering shifts with start times as early as 630a and as late as 800a. No holidays needed.
Weekend REQ: No
Is on-call REQ? No
Floating Req: Yes, will work at both SJCH and SMP (North Charleston clinic)
Required/Preferred
Years of experience REQ: 2 years
First-timers accepted: Yes
Pending State License accepted. Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with the PE certification or CCI with the RCCS certification and all must be in hand at time of start
Must be proficient in complex congenital heart defects. Experience with GE (vivid 95) and PACS system entering full reports, preferred.
Need to be proficient in scanning pediatric echocardiograms, extensive knowledge of complex heart disease and defects, Highly recommend MD reference

: MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first. Radius rule is 60 miles. Locals will be considered at a lower BR
Previous perm staff(this includes PRN) must be separated from the MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
South Carolina RN License:
MUSC will prioritize candidates that have SC license in hand. We will still consider candidates with a pending license at the time of submission please provide proof that they have applied for the license or confirm that they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until SC license is issued/active.
RTO GUIDELINE FOR AUTO OFFERS:
If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process
We can only submit to one MUSC unit/campus at a time. If you do submit to multiple job IDs, please mention in the submission what their top choice is.
