AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Echo Tech in Macon, Georgia, 31201!
Join our team as an Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist and use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, compassionately prepare patients for echocardiogram procedure, and produce detailed images of the heart for interpretation by healthcare teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). ARDMS-RDS or RDCS accepted.
- 2 years of acute care echocardiography experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience performing transthoracic echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEEs) and assisting with procedures such as pericardiocentesis required.
- Ability to perform and document preliminary findings in a modifiable report for physician review.
- Comfortable performing pediatric echocardiography; this is a hard requirement.
- Familiarity with Philips and GE cardiovascular ultrasound equipment and workflows preferred.
- Experience with Philips Intellispace/ISC/Philips PACS and EPIC EMR preferred.
- Stress echo and fetal scan experience preferred. Candidates missing these skills should send for manager approval.
- Comfort orienting new hires preferred.

Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital (Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital with chest pain and stroke centers).
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 08:00-18:30, 10-hour day shift.
- Schedule cycle: Modified self-schedule with 6-week scheduling increments; manager approval required for final schedule.
- Typical workload: Department performs approximately 40-60 studies per day across 2 echo suites and 2 TEE rooms; will also perform bedside inpatient scans.
- On-call: Yes. One night call shift per week with end-of-shift (EOS) coverage until 07:00 the following morning. Callbacks require cardiologist approval and are infrequent.
- Weekend rotation: Not required at this time.
- Holiday expectations: Call only on major holidays; may be on call for up to 50% of covered holidays per contract.
- Orientation: NE0 orientation with remainder of first week dedicated to unit orientation and buddy calls.
- Support: Echo tech team, cardiologists, central transport, rapid response/code team.
- Parking: Free. Scrub color: Black.
