Requested Skill Set:

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

  • Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills.
  • Willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation (real-time training resource provided).
  • Good attention to detail; willingness to be coached regarding rehabilitation and other required documentation.

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first) Experience with the following:

  • Patients in the neurological, cardiac and/or orthopedic adult populations.
  • Inpatient (acute) rehabilitation.
  • Long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing.

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN/LVN/Tech)

  • BLS

Procedures performed on unit:

  • Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes as ordered; surgical drain removal; suture/staple removal; other medical-surgical nursing procedures as ordered.

Patient Experience Required:

  • Prefer 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital - medical-surgical, stepdown critical care or inpatient rehabilitation nursing.
  • Experience in neurological, cardiac and/or orthopedic nursing a plus.

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

  • Scrub Color
  • RN: Royal Blue tops and pants in good condition (no fading, other facility logos, etc). Scrub caps must be free of logos (e.g.; sports teams, colleges, corporate logos).
  • Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc.
  • Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed.
  • Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually.
  • Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited. This includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.
  • Other – Must compliantly wear facility-issued PPE, including N95s and face shields.

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

  • Floating Guidelines: Floats to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff.
  • Attendance Policies: The company wide attendance policy will be followed.
