Seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care for adult cardiac surgery patients. Candidates should be skilled in cardiovascular procedures and comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

Circulate and assist during cardiovascular surgical procedures
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for adult cardiac patients
Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for complex cardiac surgeries
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to sterile technique and patient safety standards
Float to other surgical areas as needed based on department census

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of CVOR Registered Nurse experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active New York RN License
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience with EPIC and Omnicell preferred

Assignment Details:

13-week assignment
Start Date: August 31, 2026
40 hours per week (4x10 variable day shifts)
On-call required: Up to 7 days every 4 weeks, including one full weekend
Adult patient population
2 CVOR suites
1:1 staffing ratio
Floating required when census is low
Local and travel candidates accepted (75-mile radius policy)
