Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: 22 S Greene St Baltimore, MD 21201

Shift/Hours: 3x12 Rotating Night/Days (19:00-07:30 / 07:00-19:30)

Start Date: 08/17/2026

 

Description:

CICU/CVICU RN - Rotating N/D - 36H; EOW

2YR experience required; will accept first-time travelers with strong skill/experience in CVICU, including IABP & Impella experience

Start Date: 08/17/26

Contract length: 16 weeks

 

License/certs required: RN MD state license, BLS, ACLS, and CPI required. NIHSS and CCRN preferred

Patient Age Group: Adults/Geriatrics

# of rooms/beds: 15

Avg. Daily Census: 10

Ratio: 1:1, up to 3 with stable, lower acuity patients

 

Common Diagnoses: Cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias (including heart blocks, other rhythm disruptions), MI, PH, advanced therapy workups (LVAD, heart transplants), mechanical support devices (including IABP, Impella), Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hypertensive urgency/emergency

Special Procedure/Unit Details: Bedside central/A-line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, Swan/PA cath insertion, Targeted temperature management, CRRT

Special Equipment: Impella, VAD, IABP, CRRT, Vent, Cooling Device, CCO Monitor

Scrub Color: Navy blue

 

Weekends: every other weekend required

Holidays: required as they fall, as scheduled

Floating: required within the specialty, lower acuity's as needed. occasionally to ICU, Cardiac PCU, and lower acuity's as needed

On-call: scheduled on-call shifts not required
