Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level I trauma facility, requiring prior CSICU/CVICU experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a Level I trauma facility
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) available
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Candidates will float within scope of practice if needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU/CSICU experience at a Level I facility required; 5-6 years preferred
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with conscious sedation, pulmonary artery lines, telemetry, and ventilators required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted)
• 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above)

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy

• Modules are assigned during orientation via the facility's Learning Exchange and must be completed by the Friday of orientation week
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are subject to manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius rules
• Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Facility will review candidate background history prior to placement
