Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital radiology department, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent CT experience along with ARRT and BLS certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department specializing in CT (Computed Tomography)
• Common imaging studies include stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient (IP) cases
• Department operates with 2 techs per scanner
• Approximately 300 scans performed per day
• Siemens CT scanners are used in this department
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• In-house radiologist coverage during days; tele-radiology used after hours
• Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Call required every 4th Friday and every 5th Saturday, with a 1-hour response time
• Holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience, with recent experience within the past 6 months required
• Active ARRT certification with CT specialty (ARRT-CT) required — pending certifications are not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted
• A radiation monitoring badge is required
• A driver's license must be provided for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked — must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Siemens CT experience preferred
• Trauma and Level I facility experience preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (Arizona requirement); a driver's license is used to verify permanent address

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging for a high-volume radiology department supporting stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient cases
• CT-specific orientation will be completed in person
• Teal scrubs are required
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
